A Boyertown man has been fatally injured in a motorcycle accident

A Boyertown man died at a Reading hospital shortly after his motorcycle collided with a car late Tuesday night at Oley Turnpike Road and Route 662 in Oley.
Alan Golden, 58, was pronounced dead by a trauma doctor shortly after EMS arrived after the crash at 5:30 p.m., Central Berks Regional Police Chief Raymond Serafin said.
The crash closed Route 662 for about five hours while police reopened the crash, which remains under investigation.
Serafin gave this account based on a preliminary investigation:
Golden, who was wearing a helmet, was riding his motorcycle south on Route 662 toward Douglasville when the vehicle, which was traveling north toward the village of Olley, began to turn left onto Olley Turnpike Road.
Golden, who was wearing a helmet, was unable to avoid the collision and hit the passenger side.
The driver of the vehicle, Linda Frohlich, 73, of Fleetwood, told police at the scene that she did not see the oncoming motorcycle because of the low sun.
The crash occurred about one-third of a mile west of that location two motorcycles collided on August 12 in front of the Oley Turnpike Dairy, seriously injuring both riders.
Serafin said both people involved in that crash remained in the hospital Wednesday due to their injuries.
