Amazon launches MiniTV, its free video streaming service in an app exclusively for India

Washington [US]May 17 (ANI): American multinational technology company Amazon has now launched a free ad-supported video streaming service called Mini TV within Amazon India app.
According to Mashable, this is a different proposition than hers Amazon Prime Video, as Mini TV placed inside Amazona traditional shopping app, not your own standalone app.
Available only to users in India, Mini TVThe directory ‘s mostly includes old content that its content partners originally created for YouTube and other platforms.

The lineup includes beauty and fashion content, technology news, and culinary shows AmazonThe channel’s partners, including Indian web content studios Pocket Aces and TVF, as well as a list of famous Indian comedians.
The company said it was planning “new and exclusive videos” in the coming months, but did not provide a deadline.
The channel is set to compete with Flipkart Video, a free streaming service launched in 2019 by Walmart-owned Flipkart, one of the Amazonthe biggest competitors in India.
Amazon continues to provide its Prime Video to consumers in India as it competes with Netflix, which plans to launch more than three dozen new movies and shows in India this year.
According to Mashable, free Mini TV will help Amazon check to see if streaming content can increase sales in your shopping app. (ANI)
