Amber Heard’s team changes Johnny Depp’s call plan to testify Celebrities

Amber Heard’s legal team no longer plans to summon Johnny Depp to testify in his lengthy libel case.

The 58-year-old actor had previously gone to court to answer questions at a court in Fairfax, Virginia, and Hurd’s legal team has now canceled his original plan to recall him.

A source close to Hurd told People: “Calling Depp to the podium would be as important to us as a bike for a fish.

“Everything Depp has testified so far has nothing to do with the substance of the case, and there is no reason to believe that things will be any different now.”

Hurd is filing a counterclaim against her ex-husband after he sued her for libel in connection with a 2018 article she wrote about being a victim of domestic violence.

Meanwhile, Kate Moss will testify in the defamation case.

The 48-year-old model met with Depp from 1994 to 1997, and is now ready to perform on Wednesday (25.05.22) via video link.

The 36-year-old Hurd previously referred to the model during the lawsuit when she was discussing an alleged quarrel between Depp and Whitney Enriquez, Hurd’s sister.

The actress said: “[Whitney’s] was back to the stairs, and Johnny swung at her. I don’t hesitate, I don’t wait – I just think in my head instantly about Kate Moss and the stairs. “

Hurd first stated this during her testimony in the UK in 2020.

The Aquaman star then said, “I remembered the information I heard [that] he pushed his ex-girlfriend – I guess it was Kate Moss – down the stairs. I heard this rumor from two people and it was fresh in my memory. ”

Depp’s legal team called a model to testify and was seen pumping his fists after Hurd referred to her in court.
