Ancient pizzeria moves to a larger location with a bar in Northampton County – The Morning Call

The popular pizzeria has a new home in Northampton.

Tony’s Pizza and Restaurant, which operated for about 15 years on Main Street, 200 in Tatami, opened Monday in its new, larger premises at 3417 Sullivan Trail in Forks.

Earlier, Sullivan Street housed the Italian restaurant Delarenza, which closed in 2019.

Tony’s new location, about a mile east of its original location, accommodates more than 100 customers, about twice the current number of seats, owner Tony Burieski said. There is also a large parking lot.

Other upgrades include new furniture; freshly painted deck; and an extended kitchen where more lunches are served on weekends.

The new location also has a bar that currently serves beer and wine with cocktails that will appear soon, Burieski said. The previous location of the enterprise did not provide alcoholic beverages.

“Right now we are making a soft discovery,” Burieski said of the new location. “Eventually we’ll have a full bar, but we’re just waiting until we have more staff.”

The new pizzeria house is also extended from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, Burieski said.

Tony’s, which hires for positions in the front and back of the house, offers a wide selection of Italian cuisine, including calzone, antipasto salads and dishes such as lasagna, manicot, shrimp and chicken parmigiano.

Pizzas, available in sizes 10, 14, 16 and 18 inches, include options such as German, Hawaiian and white. Special pies (only available in large sizes) include a ranch with chicken bacon, meat lovers, stuffed fillets (steak, onions, mushrooms and cheese) and breakfast (eggs, potatoes and bacon) and others.

Other highlights of the menu include snacks such as fried squid, jumbo wings, poppy seeds and cheese, as well as mussels marinade; as well as cold and hot sandwiches such as cheese steaks, turkey clubs, Italian hags and gyros.

“Here at Tony’s, we have homemade dinners, subsidies, salads, homemade bread, soups and of course pizza!” This is stated on the company’s Facebook page. “Everything is prepared in the house and made from scratch. Nobody beats our fresh dough and sauce! ”
