Avril Lavigne will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Celebrities

Avril Lavigne will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The 37-year-old pop-punk icon, who has written a string of hits including “Sk8er Boi,” “Complicated” and “Girlfriend,” will be the 2,731st celebrity to receive the award on the sidewalk at 6212 Hollywood Blvd.
The opening ceremony of the monument will take place on August 31.
Hall of Fame producer Ana Martinez commented, “It’s a no-brainer, Avril Lavigne is very deserving of this star on the Walk of Fame, and we’re thrilled to honor her with such a great honor.
“Avril fans have been blowing up my phone asking when she’s getting her star. We are happy to say that the time has come.”
Meanwhile, the Canadian star gave an update on his film based on the 2002 classic Sk8er Boi.
She told Nylon: “It takes a long time. I am currently working on a story with a director and screenwriter. I’m very excited to cast “Sk8er Boi” in the movie. This is something I wanted to do for a very long time.”
Avril, who released her seventh studio album Love Sux in February, believes the key to her longevity is her authenticity.
She explained: “It’s very important to me now because the songs have stood the test of time. But I think, to be honest, I was just being honest. I wrote songs. They were made from my point of view and my outlook on life. at the time I was, oh my god, like a teenager, what I was going through. And now, like my new album Love Sux’, that’s kind of changed.
“I changed directions here and there. On my last album, Head Above Water, it was more dark, introspective and emotional. Then this one, “Love Sux,” came back just in full swing, rocking guitars, live drums. And I feel like this album is me, and I have different sides.”
