Berks County Road Projects Week of August 21, 2022

Long-term

• Until 2023: Smoketown Road at Little Saucony Creek Bridge, Rockland Township, closed.

• Ongoing: Route 10 at Freemansville Road, Cumru Township, intersection reconstruction and redesign, weekdays; permit project.

• In October: Route 737 between Eagle Point Road and Zettlemoyer Road in Maxatany and Greenwich townships, milling, paving and more, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. weekdays.

• Until Oct. 28: Creek Road closed between Kistler Valley Road and Old Philly Pike, Albany, bridge repairs.

• Through Nov. 2: Lobachsville Road between Long Lane/Bertale Mill Road and Oysterdale Road, Pike Township, bridge repair, road closed.

• Starting this week: Gibraltar Road bypass near Shelbourne Road in Exeter for three to four weeks while the sewer main is moved ahead of a larger project at the intersection in 2023.

• Through Aug. 29: Monotony Road between Pine Forge Road and Grostown Road, Douglas Township: Closed for bridge repairs.

• Aug. 22-26: Interstate 78 between Exit 10 (Route 645) and Exit 35 (Route 143), sweeping, 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

• Aug. 22-26: Steinsville Road between Berks County and Dresher Road, Lehigh County, bridge repair, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Aug. 22-24: Interstate 78 eastbound between Exit 19 (Route 183) and Exit 23 (Shartlesville), maintenance, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Aug. 22-24: Church Street/Hefner Road between Robesania and Church Road, Heidelberg and Lower Heidelberg townships, milling and paving, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Aug. 22-23: Garfield Road between Route 61 and Plum Creek Road, Center and Antelani townships, drainage, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Aug. 22: Route 222 between Route 422 and Route 724, Spring Township, bridge inspection, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Aug. 24-26: Belleman’s Church Road between Garfield and Irish Creek roads, drainage, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Aug. 25: State Hill Road between Woodland Road and Penn Avenue, Wyomissing, bridge inspection, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Aug. 25-26: Church Road between Penn Avenue and Brownsville Road, Wernersville and Lower Heidelberg Township, milling and paving, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Aug. 25: Interstate 78 westbound between Exit 23 (Shartlesville) and Exit 19 (Route 183), maintenance, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Aug. 29-30: Interstate 78 eastbound between Exit 29 (Route 61) and Exit 40 (Route 737), bridge inspection.
