EAST BRANDYWINE — After a two-year break from rehearsals and the Brandy Valley Choir (BVC), we are excited to invite the community to a Memory and Hope Music Evening on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 7:00 pm in the Unionville High School auditorium. (750 Unionville Road Kennett Square, PA). The Brandywine Valley Choral returns with a new program that highlights the memory of those we lost and at the same time inspires hope for bright days ahead. The concert will feature two diverse works: “Requiem for Fore” and “Requiem for Life” by Dan Forrest.
Faure’s work focuses on the request for eternal peace and consolation for those who are gone, Memory. Forrest’s work is distinguished by its intent, asking for peace and mercy for the living, Hope. The concert will feature a Unionville High School choir and will be accompanied by a chamber orchestra of 15 people and an organ to enhance the musical experience.
“Not only am I excited that live choral music is back, I am very excited to share this program with our audience,” said Jason Tron, Choral Director of BVC. “This concert will honor those we lost during the pandemic and give us hope for a bright future. Our collaboration with the Unionville High School Choir as well as the professional orchestra will give a sense of community that we have lacked for the past two years. ”

Haral is a mixed choir that sings choral works created for SATB vocal ranges (soprano, viola, tenor, bass). The organization is made up of individuals aged 18 and older who share a commitment to excellence, a passion for music and a desire to serve their community.
