Thanks to the staff of Henry Schein Inc., the young residents and clients of Children’s Home Reading are ready to start school.

The nonprofit social services organization offers specialized residential, educational and community programs to help at-risk children and their families.

In each backpack, the children found notebooks, pens, pencils and folders to help them start the new school year.

Schein’s back-to-school program is the flagship initiative of Henry Schein Cares, the company’s global corporate social responsibility program.

Now in its 25th year, the program provides backpacks, school supplies and more to support the back-to-school needs of underserved children and their families.

More than 65,000 children worldwide have benefited from this initiative since 1998.
