Dave Chapel, who fought during the Hollywood Bowl comedy show Entertainment

LOS ANGELES – Humor Dave Chapel was killed during a performance at the Hollywood Bowl on Tuesday night. The guards chased the attacker and defeated him, and Chapel was able to continue his performance while the man was taken away by ambulance.
NBC News reported that the Los Angeles Police Department on Wednesday said the man was carrying a fake gun with the blade of a real knife. LAPD did not make an official announcement of the arrest hours after the attack and did not respond immediately to an Associated Press request for details.
Chapel was performing his stand-up program in the amphitheater as part of the Netflix Is a Joke festival when a man rushed to the stage and rushed after him. Jamie Foxx was on the wings of the stage, and Chapelle thanked him for responding to the attack. Chris Rock was also there and jokingly asked if the attacker was Will Smith.
Chapelle was attacked as he completed a routine in which he talked about how comedians should be more concerned about their personal safety after this year’s Oscars, where the Oscar-winning actor hit Rocco live on television in response to a joke about his wife.
“The humorist has just said that he is now safer because of all the noise from his jokes about the trans community,” Buzzfeed News reporter Brianna Sachs, who attended the show, tweeted. She tweeted that “while the attacker was being beaten,” Chapel “joked that he was probably a trans man.”
