Dead Man in West Philadelphia: Shootout in the Love Triangle – NBC10 Philadelphia

Philadelphia police believe the love triangle led to a shootout on the streets of West Philadelphia early Tuesday morning.
According to Philadelphia police, two men shot each other on the 5,400th block of Media Street around 1:30 p.m.
Officers responded after receiving several calls to the 911 service to find a 30-year-old man who was lying on the street at least once shot in the chest, police said. He did not respond and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Detectives spoke to a woman who witnessed the shooting and knew both men, Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said.
Police said at least 14 shots were fired. A victim’s pistol and a shop were found at the scene.
The boy said that the detectives knew who shot the man, but as of Tuesday morning there were no detentions.
Entering Tuesday, there were at least 178 murders in Philadelphia in 2022. This is 9% less than the same period last year, which ultimately became the deadliest for the city of all time.
