Dolphins cancel Thursday’s joint practice with Eagles due to non-COVID-related illness – Reading Eagle

The Miami Dolphins canceled their second joint practice with the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday morning.
Instead, the team will meet virtually “out of an abundance of caution as a result of an illness not related to COVID,” according to a Dolphins release. A team source said a stomach bug is spreading among the players.
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel will still hold a press conference Thursday morning as scheduled.
The Eagles will still practice Thursday in Miami. The two teams have a preseason finale starting at 7:00 PM at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday night.
On Wednesday, the Dolphins and Eagles held one joint practice in front of the fans. Miami is missing a key practice for players vying for a roster spot, as Thursday’s session was the team’s last of training camp. NFL rosters must be trimmed from 80 to 53 players by Tuesday’s 4 p.m.
This is breaking news that will be updated.
