With the last one reports after showing brands including Nike, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Adidas and Tiffany raking in a total of $260 million in sales from NFT alone, when the future of Web3 was in question, it was time to put those thoughts to bed. Thirdweb’s new stack of money will be used to meet the ever-growing demand for easy-to-create, deploy, and capitalize on Web3, well…almost everything. The company says support for additional blockchains is in the works, and part of the new test has been dedicated to bringing in new brands, personalities and creators.
Founded in 2021 Stephen Bartlettbest known as the youngest investor to appear on the long-running BBC show Dragons’ Den, and Furkan Ridhan, the startup is building the infrastructure layer for Web3. With a variety of Web3 development tools, the goal is not only to demystify the development process, but also to significantly reduce the time and costs required to get applications up and running. It facilitates the creation of Web3 applications on popular blockchains, including blockchain games, NFT drops, DAOs, tokenized membership clubs, and more.
If this sounds vaguely familiar, it appears that Thirdweb is going head to head NFTPort powered by Atomico in space to do things easier and faster.
The company previously received $5 million in seed funding from more than 20 industry entrepreneurs, including Gary Vaynerchuk and Mark Cuban.
And with Web3 gaining momentum, it’s clear that the startup has witnessed significant growth over the past nine months. The company claims that thirdweb projects generate more than $1.5 million in revenue each week. The startup also recently announced a partnership with NFT marketplace Coinbase to provide the technical infrastructure for their artists’ NFT drops.
Speaking about the new round of investment, Stephen Bartlett, co-founder of thirdweb, said: “Web3 is the most important technological shift I have witnessed in my lifetime. We created thirdweb to give the builders of this next iteration of the Internet the tools they need to succeed, and when they succeed, the world as we know it will be vastly different—much better.”
“thirdweb is building the infrastructure layer for web3, giving developers the tools to unlock the power of blockchain technology and accelerating them to build the next world-changing companies. We are very excited to connect the next 10 million developers to web3,” added Furkan Ridan, co-founder of thirdweb.
Gary Vaynerchuk, founder and CEO of Vayner/RSE, who previously supported thirdweb, concluded: “Web3 will revolutionize many areas. Thirdweb will enable this revolution.”
