Easter Embankment South Street returns after a two-year break Lifestyle

After two long years of hibernation the South Street Headhouse District (SSHD) is back with its 89th annual Easter Boardwalk on April 17 and has been a huge success! Participants dressed in Sunday’s best, posed for pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Cottontail and were treated to delicious snacks at some of the iconic South Street restaurants. The Easter promenade began at 12:30 on 5th and South Streets and made its way to South Street Plaza on 2nd and South Streets under the direction of fantastic conductor Henri David. The waterfront ended at the new Square Headhouse Plaza (2nd and Lombard Street) for the judging competition. Contestants for the best Easter Prom dress were judged by business owners and South Street friends such as Shannon Maldonado, owner of Yowie on S. 4th Street, Monica Monique, owner of Oxymoron Fashion House on S. 4th Street, Mark Skill, board member. from the first district of the city council, House representative Mary Isaacson and Gillian Pirtle, vocalist, actress and television personality.
