WILKES-BARRE TWP. — In the presence of family, friends, employees and representatives of the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce, the ribbon was cut at Elevation Wellness, 172 Mundy St., officially opening the medical spa for business.

Owner Louis Helmecki cut the ribbon with his wife, co-owner and Aesthetics Manager Stephanie by his side, with the help of their young children.

Helmecki explained that Elevation Wellness is “a medical spa that focuses on IV vitamin therapy, peptide therapy, and red light therapy (which helps manage inflammation and pain levels). We also have non-invasive aesthetics for body contouring, body contouring, fat loss, cellulite reduction,” he said, noting that services are planned to expand by the end of the year.

Elevation Wellness is not a franchise or a corporation. While there are plans to open more locations in the future, the business is owned by locals who want to help residents look, feel and perform their best. The unique services offered are brand new to the area, the next closest options being Allentown, then Philadelphia or New York.

“People think this area is backward,” Helmecki said. “It’s not. We just need the right vision, we need the people to bring something. My idea was like the old Field of Dreams – you build it, they will come.”

Treatments such as those offered by Elevation are quite common among Hollywood types, social media influencers and athletes, and now those services that offer maximum performance, well-being and wellness are right here in NEPA. Helmecki noted that all vitamin treatments are developed by doctors, and there is a medical director who ensures best practices and oversees everything.

“Everything is designed specifically for the patient, whatever they choose,” he said. Each patient is treated individually, without the use of serums. In addition, Helmecki’s staff consists of registered nurses who ensure a high level of professionalism and safety. Helmecki sells medical devices, and while admitting he’s not a doctor, he went ahead and built a team of medical professionals to facilitate his vision of forward-thinking and helping people in what he called “a great field.”

“If you’re not sure what it is, come and check it out. We have something for everyone. it’s not just for the high-level athlete, it’s not just for the person looking for extra benefits. It’s also for that person who wants to start somewhere.”

Elevation Wellness offers several packages for clients based on their needs, as well as 12 months of interest-free financing.
