Faitin Phils suffers the third defeat in a row from Somerset Sports

SOMERSET, New Jersey – A visit to TD Bank Ballpark cooled Reading’s hot team when they lost to Somerset 4-1 on Sunday.

The Fightin Phils (17-22) entered the four-game winning streak, but lost four of the five Patriots who took first place. Logan O’Hope started the guests well with an RBI double in the first inning.

Anthony Volpe faced a solo home run at the bottom of the frame, and Somerset added solo races on the 5th, 6th and 7th to support four strikes by Johnny Britt and three reliquaries.

Reading returns to FirstEnergy Stadium to host five games in Binghamton, starting Tuesday morning on Education Day.
