Fetterman undergoes a pacemaker implantation procedure The state

A few hours before the polls closed, Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, a U.S. Senate candidate, underwent a pacemaker implant procedure after suffering a stroke over the weekend.

Fetterman, who led the polls in the last hours of election night, opposed his fellow Democrat Conor Lam and MP Malcolm Kenyatta.

According to a Twitter message, Feterman was resting after about a two-hour procedure.

As the polls end, the election results will show whether his health problems have affected his chances.

The results will be published here as they begin to come.
