Former Pittsburgh high school student Vince Williams joins Pine-Richland coaching staff

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Former Steeler joins Pine Richland High School football coaching staff.

Vince Williams is the new head coach of the Rams, who is in his first year, John Ledon announced Monday on Twitter.

“Glad to welcome Vince Williams @ VinnyVidiVici98 to the coaching staff,” he tweeted.

Williams retired in July 2021 after eight seasons in Pittsburgh. In his last season the linebacker played with the black and gold 14 games of the regular season.

He was drafted by the Steelers in the sixth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. In 121 games of the regular season in his career Williams scored 444 rebounds, 48 ​​rebounds and 20.5 rebounds.

LeDonne left Penn Hills High in February to take over as the new head coach of the Rams. He led the Indians to the WPIAL and PIAA titles in 2018.

He replaced Steve Compass, who retired in December 2021 due to ill health.
