NEW YORK (AP) — Fox News Channel original Trace Gallagher has been named host of the East Coast midnight hour of “Fox News @ Night,” the network announced Wednesday.

A veteran Los Angeles news reporter, Gallagher has been with the network since its inception in 1996.

He replaces Shannon Brim in the role. Brim recently took over as anchor of “Fox News Sunday.”

Gallagher recently covered the death of Queen Elizabeth II and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Over the past two years, he has devoted a lot of time to stories about the COVID-19 pandemic.

With Gallagher at the helm, the show will be based out of Los Angeles.
