Gary Busey accused of sex crimes at Monster-Mania Con | Life/Entertainment

Police said the charges stem from violations at the annual Monster Mania convention at the Doubletree Hotel Aug. 12-14 in Cherry Hill, a suburb of Philadelphia.

Busey, who lives in Malibu, California, was scheduled to headline all three days of the event.

Police did not immediately respond to a message seeking details. It was also not clear if Busey had an attorney available to comment on the allegations, and a representative did not immediately return a message seeking comment Saturday.

Busey is widely known as a character actor, mostly in supporting roles, although he gained attention and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for his lead role in the 1978 film The Buddy Holly Story.
