“Hunters for Houses” on HGTV will soon follow the couple’s hunt for the perfect house near Lititsa.
Their realtor Andrew Bartlett told a few details before the premiere of the episode on Wednesday, April 13th.
Bartlett, a realtor with Keller Williams Elite, was working with the couple last year when he was approached to take part in the show, he says.
Two of his clients are nurses from the intensive care unit at Lancaster Hospital. One is a Warwick graduate who wanted to live with his family in the Lititz area. His girlfriend was more focused when considering their options.
Bartlett showed them more than five homes, including several homes of a family member. In this narrow housing market, one of their offers was not the only offer above the price.
Although he is not allowed to talk about much else, Bartlett says the filming didn’t take long and the film crew was friendly. Things were moving much faster than when he was an extra in the restaurant scene at Chicago Fire.
Episode will air on HGTV at 10:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, and 1:30 a.m., Thursday, April 14. Bartlett is planning a party Thursday at the office for clients and friends.
“It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience,” he says. “It’s cool because everyone’s watching this show.”
This is not the first time the show has been dedicated to a local search. In 2016 Michael and Victoria Mivil discussed buying a ready-to-enter colonial or two-level house.
