How will Aidan Shaw return to And Just Like That? 3 Theories | Entertainment news

Aidan Shaw comes to his senses And just like that… John Corbett to reprise her role as Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) Former furniture designer in season 2 with HBO Max the original, and Sex in the big city fans are torn about it. On the one hand, Aidan was a great character and Carrie’s best ex (though not without flaws — smoking ultimatum? Phew). Aidan, on the other hand, most likely wouldn’t say it was Carrie him the best ex.

Carrie let her unresolved feelings for Mr. Big (Chris Noth) seeps into her healthy (or at least healthier) relationship with Aidan, leading to her cheating on Aidan with Big. Carrie eventually saw Aidan again twice later in the series and in the second Sex in the big city movie all chance meetings. Bigo’s death was a shock And just like that… In the series premiere, viewers wondered if Carrie would meet Aidan again. Now she will.

In accordance with Deadline, Aidan and Carrie will reunite in a “significant, multi-episode arc” in Season 2. And it probably wouldn’t have happened if the show hadn’t decided to kill off Big. This was announced by executive producer Michael Patrick King Deadline in February when Aidan failed to appear And just like that… Season 1 because “it really felt like it was a lot for Carrie.”

“There has been a lot this season. We wanted to continue it [Big’s death] and into the light—the last episode is called “See the Light.” We wanted to pull her out,” he said. “[Aidan’s return] it’s a big plot that everyone at home has been writing about, that we never thought of.’

The first season ended with Carrie sharing a passionate kiss in an elevator with her podcast producer after not going out on a date again following Big’s death. Heading into season two, she seems ready to reconnect with her date. Only time will tell if she and Aidan rekindle a platonic or romantic relationship. And to be fair, after it was on the show Miranda and Steve’s relationship dirty, we’d better not start thinking about it (emotional investment is too much!). But we’re intrigued to see how Aidan will reappear.

Here, we’ve put together three theories about how Aidan will be reintroduced And just like that… Season 2.

Via Steve/At his bar

U Sex in the big cityAidan was a silent partner in Steve’s bar, Scout, which he still owns And just like that… With Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Steve (David Eigenberg) of raising Brady together and figuring out their separation, it seems highly unlikely that Steve will be absent from the show’s second installment. Also, episode 9 showed Carrie comforting Steve at a charity event after breaking up with Miranda, establishing their friendship.

While Steve and Carrie will likely see less of each other moving forward, it’s easy to imagine Carrie finding herself at Scout one night. Various reasons could have brought her here: a special event is being held at the bar, at which Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte (Christine Davis), and Harry (Evan Handler) engage in support; Steve wants Miranda’s advice and invites Carrie to Scout’s to talk; Carrie next door is having a bad day, she realizes she is near a bar and heads there for a drink and a break. And in all of these scenarios, Aidan can easily be at the bar at the same time.

Steve could even throw a birthday party and invite his friend along. Picture the girls’ lunch date as Carrie prepares to see her ex again before the party.

Through a chance meeting

Running into Aidan by chance is one of a kind Sex in the big cityright. Miranda and Carrie ran into Steve and Aidan shortly after their breakup in Season 3, Episode 18. But to their embarrassing dismay, the guys were on a double date. Imagine that decades have passed and Carrie and Miranda are having a powerful moment of déjà vu when something similar to this scenario happens again.

Carrie saw Aidan again in the Season 6 premiere when she was trying to escape Berger (before the Post-It). But it was out of the frying pan and into the fire when she turned the corner to see Aidan with baby Tate in tow. And then, in Sex in the city 2, Carrie ran into Aidan in the least likely place: Abu Dhabi. There, she learned that Aidan and his wife, Cathy, had two more children, Homer and Wyatt.

Will And just like that… love making Carrie face her ex Sex in the big city did History, as they say, repeats itself. Maybe Aidan’s kids go to school with Brady or one of Charlotte’s kids and they all end up in the same school. (Though the last time Carrie was at a school event for her friends’ kids, her husband died…so we’ll never know.) Or maybe Lily, Rock, or Brady are friends with Tate, Homer, or Wyatt. Strange things have happened in this universe.

Carrie buys Aidan furniture for his new apartment

Carrie’s apartment hunt after Big’s death was a multi-episode challenge in Season 1. She may have settled into her new home or moved into her quarters with Big in Season 2 and will be looking for a redesign. Picture it: Interior decorator Carrie buys a piece of furniture that catches her eye. She asks about it and it turns out to be one of Aidan’s designs, causing a flood of Aidan’s memories to return.

Carrie’s curiosity led her to look up Aidan on social media and after much arguing about it with Charlotte and Miranda, probably with a certain Che Diaz (Sarah Ramirez) input, Carys slides into her DMs to see what’s going on.
