“I live a dream”: Tom Cruise insists he never has a weekend Movies

Tom Cruise says he has no days off because he “lives his dream” when he works.

Growing up, young Tom dreamed of becoming either a pilot or an actor, and in his latest film “Top Gun: Maverick”, a long-awaited sequel to the 1986 action drama, the Hollywood star gets both in the role of Pete Navy pilot. Maverick Mitchell.

Asked what he likes to do on the weekends, Tom told Bella magazine: “It’s a weekend for me because I don’t shoot!

“I’m just relaxing, I don’t have a weekend.

“Look, I was lucky, I was lucky.

“I’ve spent my whole life on set and traveling the world, which’s what I’ve always wanted to do.

“So it’s not a job – I’m living a dream.”

That’s why the 59-year-old star was “very touched” when in 2020 he became an honorary Navy naval pilot along with film producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

He said: “I want to thank them.

“I was honored to become the 38th Honorary Pilot of the Navy.

“They gave me this commission.

“Also (Navy Instructor Program) TOPGUN School gave me a plaque that only TOPGUN graduates get, some pilots.

“For me, it’s incredible because I grew up wanting to go to the movies and be a pilot.

“I remember at the age of four I was sitting and looking at my wall

P-51 and Spitfire on it.

At the time of the full lap Tom had to fly his own P-51 Mustang in the last movie.
