Instagram down: Photo-sharing app suffers global outage, including India, for second time in 7 days

New Delhi, October 31: Thousands of Instagram users from around the world reported problems when the outage began on Monday morning, leaving users locked out and many saying “we have suspended your account”.
According to the Daily Record, the platform confirmed the problem on Twitter and apologized for it.

Instagram’s policy states that they may disable certain accounts that violate the Community Guidelines, such as illegal, intimidating, hateful, spammy, or infringing intellectual property rights, according to the report. Twitter is also trending with the hashtag #InstagramDown as hundreds have experienced similar problems logging into their accounts.
Several users reported that they were unable to appeal Instagram’s decision, resulting in their accounts being logged out and their email and password not being found, the post added.
Meanwhile, users in India and parts of the world have also reported problems with Instagram in the past week.
On Downdetector, an online platform that provides users with real-time information about the status of various websites and services, more than 900 users in India have reported problems accessing Instagram.
