Joey Gala, Kyle Higashioka tested positive on COVID-19 – Reading Eagle

Before their Sunday double-header against the White Sox, the Yankees announced that Joey Gala and Kyle Higashioca had given a positive result at COVID-19. Both players were listed as victims of COVID-19.
Both players were vaccinated as they were able to travel and play in a series of teams in Toronto.
Aaron Boone said at his pre-game press conference on Sunday that Gala felt bad weather and was going to get a rest on the first day of the doubleheader, while Boone said he would probably get a start in the second game.
There is no talk about it now.
Right-hander Relver David McKay was called up with Triple-A to take a seat on the active list.
The Yankees also signed a contract with catcher Rob Brentley in the Premier League and selected him from a list of 26 people.
Continuing the flurry of moves on the list, catcher Ben Rortvedt was transferred to the list of victims for 60 days.
Rortvedt, who has played in only two Premier League games this season, recently underwent arthroscopic knee surgery. He is expected return before the game action in six to eight weeks.
