Kittanning police arrested a man accused of firing a gun at a bystander

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Kittanning Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of North Grant Avenue late Friday night for reports of a man actively shooting a gun at bystanders.
Officers who arrived at the scene confirmed that no one was injured, according to a statement posted on the department’s Facebook page. Bystanders at the scene said the suspect fled back to his home after the incident.
Officers entered the residence where they were able to detain Joseph Monaco. Officers also recovered a 9mm semi-automatic handgun used in the crime, the statement added.
Officers learned that Monk did not own a firearm.
Monk was charged with multiple misdemeanors and was taken to the Armstrong County Jail.
