Almost a year after his local debut, “Water of Life” debuted on the national channel PBS.

Directed by Greens Swartz, a former Lancaster resident and New Age writer, in collaboration with Aurora Films co-founder Brad Canyon, this is a love letter to Scotch whiskey (without the “E”). The film will premiere on PBS on June 19. Schwartz says it will premiere on streaming platforms later this year.

In the film, Schwartz visits several countries to talk to famous names in the whiskey industry.

“I know how much I love drinking whiskey,” Schwartz said in a phone interview about the 2021 film. “I’m in a very happy position to have gained access to the absolute elite of the whiskey world, and I know how they drink it and how and why they recommend drinking it that way.”
