Lancaster Roots & Blues 2022: That’s when he’ll be back and who’s announced in the lineup at the moment | Entertainment

Lancaster Roots & Blues return this summer in full force.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several Roots & Blues events were canceled and postponed. The first return to the usual festival programming took place in October last year with such headliners as J. Love and Joan Osborne.

This year’s Lancaster Roots & Blues return this summer on July 9 and 10, which before the pandemic was roughly the expected time of year for the festival, which brought hundreds of artists to Lancaster.

Tickets cost $ 90 for one day or $ 165 for both days. VIP tickets cost $ 175 for one day or $ 300 for both days.

Several dozen artists have already applied for the festival, but more will be announced as the event approaches.

Some Roots & Blues favorites to return are funk / soul band Sweet Leda of Maryland, Colebrook Road of Harrisburg, Colombian blues musician and producer Bobby Gentile and Scranton’s blues band Clarence Spady & the Electric City Big Band.

Other interesting performances will include R&B / soul singer Nikki Hill, blues artist Swamp Dixon, the Empire Strikes Brass orchestra and Jimmy Vivina, the leader of the Conan talk show hosted by Conan O’Brien.

In addition to the usual musical performances, Roots & Blues will also debut ArtPart, a market of vendor artists that will be held at Freedom Hall during the festival. People can visit ArtPart even if they don’t have Roots & Blues tickets, as it’s free and open to the public.
