Laura Harrier is engaged.
The 32-year-old actress, who played Liz Allan in Spider-Man: Homecoming, has confirmed her engagement to Sam Jarroux, a French freelance creative consultant.
Laura shared: “We recently got engaged, which I’m very happy about. It was very simple and pleasant in Paris. I have never wanted such large public events. It’s just not my personality.”
The couple in love met at a dinner in Los Angeles in 2019. However, they have always made a concerted effort to keep their romance out of the limelight.
Laura, who was previously linked to Hollywood star Justin Theroux, feels she has found “peace and tranquility” with Sam.
She told Cosmopolitan magazine: “The cliche is, when you know, you know. I never believed it until it happened to me. It’s a funny feeling when you just find peace and quiet.’
Laura believes that feeling secure in herself was one of the keys to finding love.
The actress, who has also modeled for various high-profile magazines and fashion labels, shared, “I also believe in being ready within yourself before finding someone else, which I always thought was a cliché until I felt safe , the person I am and where I am in life.”
Meanwhile, Laura also discussed her experience working with rapper Jack Harlow on the White People Can’t Jump reboot.
The film star described Jack, 24, as “very charismatic” and admitted they had real “chemistry” on set.
She said: “It was his first time acting. He is very charismatic and I knew he could play the part, but he really impressed me.
“Our chemistry is great together. It was natural and easy with him. And I think it’s going to be a sweet movie.”
