Lindsay Arnold underestimated how difficult conception can be.

The 28-year-old professional dancer – who is best known for appearing on Dancing with the Stars – recently confirmed she is expecting another child with husband Sam Cusick, but Lindsay has now admitted she was ‘naive’ about the situation. .

She told Us Weekly: “Trying to get pregnant can be the most difficult, frustrating, difficult, [all] consumable item. It’s just something that really just takes over your life. And anyone who’s tried to conceive for a long period of time, you know it’s very, very difficult.”

Despite this, Lindsay eventually learned to simply “trust the process.”

She explained, “In the end, I really had to just let go and figure out, like, trust the process. Trust the timing. Trust God’s timing. Trust my body to do what it’s supposed to do at the right time.

“I feel like that mentality has really, really helped me through these last couple of months where we were just like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ But then I’m very grateful that everything turned out the way it was supposed to be.”

Lindsay and Sam already have Sage, 23 months together, and she admits their struggles have brought them closer than ever.

She shared, “We are so grateful. In a way, it was very strengthening for us and our family and for me to just learn to trust. I think that’s a really big thing that I had to learn.”

Meanwhile, the dancer recently revealed that she is determined to keep the gender of her baby a secret for now.

Lindsay explained: “I was a million per cent sure I was going to have a boy during my first pregnancy and I was clearly wrong. Now I just feel like I can’t even trust my gut. I’ll find out soon.’
