Lupita Nyong’o would rather play tag than go to the gym | Entertainment news

Lupita Nyong’o would rather play tag with her friends than go to the gym.
The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actress admitted that working out is good for her mental health as well as her physical condition, but she’s looking to do something “achievable” that keeps her active rather than tying herself to weights and machines.
She said: “Working out is very much part of my mental health regime for me. If I don’t exercise I feel very lethargic and it changes my mood. For my own sake and for the sake of the people I hang out with, it’s better when I work out. It’s about taking care of yourself.
“I realized that you don’t need a gym to train. You can work out with your own body weight, which I love.
“Personally, if I find ways to make my workouts easy to do, I’m more likely to embrace them. I have a jump rope that I like to use. I will play tag with my friends and have a heart attack. I think the move is important.”
The 39-year-old star is currently planning a trip back to Kenya to see her family, and no matter how often she visits, she always finds something “new and amazing” to explore.
She told HarpersBazaar.com: “I am very excited because I am going home to Kenya soon. It’s always good to go home. I look forward to spending time with my family.
“I like to visit my country because I always find it new and strange. We have so much variety and terrain, our landscape. I like to travel and explore different parts of the country.
“I never get old visiting different parts of my house. I think you take it for granted until you leave – then you really start to appreciate it.”
