The Indiana League of Women Voters will host the third in a series of webinars on public safety and gun laws Thursday at 7 p.m. using the Zoom platform. To request an invitation to Zoom, email Susan Boeser at sboser12@gmail.com.

The webinar will be hosted by Sara Miller, director of social policy for the Pennsylvania League of Women Voters, and will focus on the bipartisan proposed gun legislation in Pennsylvania. Legislation related to gun safety has been introduced in the Pennsylvania House and Senate over the past year. This law was sponsored by both Democrats and Republicans, as well as a Democrat and a Republican. These proposed bipartisan bills include a ban on automatic weapons for those under 21, first-time firearms training and universal background checks, among other gun safety laws. However, the progress of these proposed bipartisan bills was derailed.
