Melissa Hart leaves the race for the governor of Pennsylvania and supports Lou Barletta

HARISBURG (KDKA) – Another candidate is running out of the race for governor of Pennsylvania.

Republican Melissa Hart announced Friday that she is shutting down her campaign because “rates are too high” to split votes at the primaries on Tuesday.

“The very reason I started this campaign is the same reason I am suspending my campaign; my desire is to serve the people of Pennsylvania and their interests, ”she wrote on Facebook.

Melissa Hart now supports Lou Barletta, saying she believes he is the only candidate who can defeat Josh Shapiro who has no contraindications to the primaries.

Jake Corman dropped out of the race on Thursday also support Barletta.

The names of Corman and Hearts will continue to appear on Tuesday’s ballots.
