Meta launches WhatsApp Cloud API for Business

New Delhi: In an attempt to further improve the business integration of Meta-WhatsApp, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the opening of a mobile messaging platform for businesses of all sizes using the WhatsApp Cloud API (application programming interface) hosted by the parent company. WhatsApp will soon allow users to exit groups silently: report.

With this step any business or developer can easily access the service, build directly on top of WhatsApp to customize their experience and speed up customer response time with the secure WhatsApp Cloud API. The company will offer businesses in WhatsApp free secure cloud hosting services provided by Meta.

“This is an important step to help more businesses connect with people and help more people communicate the businesses they want to support – big and small,” Zuckerberg said at the opening of the company’s business messaging conference late Thursday. “For our partners, this new service eliminates costly server costs and gives instant access to new features,” said Meta CEO.

“We also offer new customizable WhatsApp talk links to help businesses attract customers through their online presence,” the company said.

The company said people will control the businesses they talk to, and businesses cannot send messages to people unless they are asked to contact them.

“We also want to support small businesses with additional tools. We expect that some small and medium-sized businesses will want to use the cloud API, although many continue to use the WhatsApp Business app, ”Zuckerberg said.

Meta is working on advanced features for these companies to help them manage their business beyond a few people and further expand their brand online, such as the ability to manage chats on up to 10 devices so they can better cope with the influx of chats.
