MontcoWorks will host a fall job fair at Plymouth Meeting Mall

Applicants will have the opportunity to meet potential employers during the fall job fair and business expo featuring MontcoWorks and PA CareerLink Montgomery County in partnership with Greater Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 11, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Plymouth Meeting Mall in Plymouth, Montgomery County.

This will be the second job fair held at the Plymouth Meeting Mall this year. In February, employers from various industries welcomed more than 250 participants to a similar event. The mall’s location allows career seekers to arrive by car or public transportation.

“While Montgomery County has the second lowest unemployment rate in the Commonwealth at 3.4%, that rate equates to 15,700 unemployed residents,” said Jennifer Butler, executive director of MontcoWorks, in a news release announcing the event. “We are excited to partner with the Chamber to once again offer this venue for our employers who need workers to connect with potential candidates who need work.”

MontcoWorks serves Montgomery County as the county’s workforce development council, providing market information and services that align with regional and statewide workforce development planning, according to the organization’s information site.

The October 11 event will be free for applicants. In the weeks leading up to the job fair and business expo, information about the event will be posted on the mall’s LED sign, which receives more than 250,000 vehicles each week. To see an updated list of participating companies, visit

Businesses and recruiters of all sizes are invited to attend the event, which the chamber says will provide participants with “additional reach and visibility” while giving them the opportunity to meet a “wide range of (job) candidates.” To register, employers can visit

Employers will also have the opportunity to speak with representatives during the event PA CareerLink Montgomery County Business Services Team to learn more about free ongoing recruitment support and access to in-service training and training for current employees.
