EAST CALN — Shortly before 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon, firefighters were sent to a Woodmont North apartment at 400 Winding Way to report a fire in the apartment. Several tenants who were in the apartments called 911 to report the thick black smoke and flames from the third-floor apartment and that it had moved to the roof.
Smoke was seen on the bypass of route 30 when the staff of the Ministry of Emergencies reacted to the scene. One day on the spot firefighters were met by fire and smoke on the third floor of an apartment with several people on balconies in the back of the building. To put out the flames, firefighters put into operation several handles. Several firefighters were also on the roof, cutting vents for smoke and heat to help firefighters in the apartments.
At 2:31 p.m., officials put out the fire, one object was inspected on the spot but was not delivered. It was the same building that caught fire in February this year.
An investigation is underway into the fire
