WILKES-BARRE — The Mohegan Sun Arena, operated by ASM Global, in Casey Plaza will once again open its doors to public skating on Tuesday, Dec. 6 for the Toys for Toddlers Open Skate in support of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for small program.

Anyone who brings a new, unwrapped toy or donates $5 to the Toys for Tots fund is allowed to participate in the Open Skate.

Open Skate will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Light snacks will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds donated to Toys for Tots.

All event attendees will have a chance to win great prizes, including tickets to select Mohegan Sun Arena events.

It’s the only day of the year when the public is allowed to skate at the Mohegan Sun Arena, home of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Visitors must bring their own skates to participate in open skating. Mohegan Sun Arena will not have skate rentals on site, and all guests entering the ice must be wearing skates.

A valid photo ID and credit card are required to rent skates. All skates must be returned to the Toyota SportsPlex on Cole Street by 12pm on Wednesday, December 7th.
