With the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon behind us, we all know what that means – it’s time for the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year: the US Open.
The annual tournament debuted in 1881 for the men and in 1887 for the women, and in 1978 matches began to be played at the one and only USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.
In 1987, the tournament officially became the fourth and final Grand Slam of tennis. And this is where the magic began.

Russia’s Daniil Medvedev won the 2021 US Open men’s singles, while Rajeev Ram of the United States and Joe Salisbury of England won the men’s doubles. Desiree Krawczyk from the USA and Joe Salisbury from England became the champions of 2021 in the mixed category.
