PennDOT is looking for snowplow drivers, other winter service jobs while hiring

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — We’re nearing the end of August, which means cooler weather is just around the corner.

PennDOT is now preparing for the return of freezing temperatures, snow and ice.

On Wednesday, they are hiring in Allegheny County for various maintenance jobs in the transportation department.

In their job listings, they are looking for winter equipment operators in different countries. Those hired will operate a snowplow and perform other snow removal duties.

Also looking for winter dispatchers, winter snowplow maintenance mechanics, other positions in various winter trades and more.

The PennDOT job fair is scheduled for Wednesday, August 24, from noon to 6 p.m. at the Aspinwall Service Building on Fox Chell Road.

Anyone interested in applying for the job must have two forms of identification, PennDOT said.
