HARISBURG (KDKA) – Due to additional rainfall and lower temperatures, the PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission are imposing speed and vehicle restrictions.

Starting at 10 p.m., restrictions on Level 1 vehicles will take effect on Interstate 70 from the Pennsylvania Highway to the West Virginia border, as well as along the entire length of Interstate 79.

At 23:00 a level 4 restriction is planned for the I-76 motorway in both directions from Cranberry to Breezewood.

They ask people to avoid all unnecessary travel, but if necessary, reduce speed and be aware of changing weather conditions.

For a full explanation of what the restrictions mean, go to the PennDOT website.
