The Philadelphia Flower Show became the first public flower show in America. Now almost a two-century annual tradition, the show of 2022 for the second year in a row will be held in the open air.

The Flower Show in Philadelphia – the largest and longest horticultural event in the world – will again be held outdoors in the vast South of Philadelphia Franklin Delan Roosevelt Park (FDR Park), directly connecting participants with one of Philadelphia’s most expensive green spaces from June 11 to 19, 2022. Traditionally held inside Pennsylvania Convention Center every year in March the Flower Exhibition in 2021 for the first time in the nearly 200-year history of the exhibition moved beautiful flower exhibitions to the street.

The Flower Show in Philadelphia in 2022 will have a theme In full bloom and will study the restorative and healing properties of nature and plants. The organizers of the exhibition hope that this year’s theme will further promote good health, positive well-being and the pursuit of life. Guests will walk through gardens designed to inspire them to plan for a better tomorrow.

The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) has been holding a flower show in Philadelphia since 1829. The event regularly attracts about 250,000 visitors from around the world and raises $ 1 million for PHS programs that contribute to the sustainable preservation and improvement of health and well-being. The flower show in Philadelphia won a silver Grand Pinnacle Award at the 2019 International Association of Festivals and Events in its category ($ 3 million +), finishing second after the Australian destination NSW. This makes the Flower Show in Philadelphia the best event in North America. Third place went to the Kentucky Derby Festival and the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC

New in 2022: Children and families will be invited to explore an area called “Children’s Cocoon and Play Space”. The interactive outdoor experience will include a children’s playground – located in the center near the concession stands – making it a convenient pit stop for families to refuel with snacks before enjoying the rest of the show. Other areas of the show include the favorite Entry Garden, which will welcome guests with a bright, flourishing path, the Food Bazaar, which offers guests a place to snack, find shade or enjoy live music, and Learning Gardens which showcases a wide range of gardening experiences. inspiring visitors with unexpected and new gardening ideas.
