What summer music festivals are you going to attend? Beyoncé was already headlining Coachella in April, but the summer of the 18th still has a lot to look forward to. Five of America’s best and largest annual summer music festivals gather between Remembrance Day and Labor Day in five different states across the country.

Get to this music festival by ferry. The eighth edition of this event in New York for the first time since 2010 will be Eminem’s headliners in this city. Also headliners are Jack White and Travis Scott, which includes Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Halsey, NERD, Khalid, Chvrches, The Gaslight Anthem, Post Malone, Diplo and Mark Ronson (AKA Silk City), Lil Uzi Vert, Damian. Jr. Gong “Marley, Cut Copy, Sylvan Esso, Galantis, Maggie Rogers, Russ, 6lack, DRAM, 2 Chainz, Kelela, Vic Mensa, and Third Eye Blind. In total, the three-day festival features 65 artists, as well as a stellar line of food, craft beer and cocktails, as well as grass lawn activities such as lawn games, mini golf and more. Nearly one million festival-goers are looking forward to Summerfest 2018 at Henry Mayer’s 75-acre Lake Park Festival in Milwaukee. We are talking about 800 performances on 11 stages, which is more than 1,000 performances from noon to midnight every day except July 2. Admission on one weekday to all events on the festival grounds, except for the amphitheater shows, costs just $ 9 per day (seniors and children) or $ 14 per day (adults).

Lollapalooza occupies Chicago’s front yard on 115 acres of Grant Park between downtown Chicago and Lake Michigan. Favorite festival since 1991, the past years have attracted Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Foo Fighters, Imagine Dragons, Pearl Jam and more famous performers on the stages of Lollapalooza against the background of the famous city skyline. Chicago’s best chefs, bartenders and restaurants make sure the park has plenty of food concessions and bars. Ticket options include four-day admission to the general ($ 335), VIP or platinum level with or without hotel accommodation, and one-day bracelets for each of the three price levels.

Golden Gate Park

It’s 11 years for Outside Lands, where fantastic music is combined with “lands” for delicious “Gastro Magic” food, wine, beer, cheese, chocolate, as well as a comedy scene and art events throughout the park. Concert attendees and San Francisco people know that summer in this city means cold fog, so it’s one summer outdoor music festival where sticky heat and humidity aren’t an issue. As usual, the star lineup is expected (the announcement will take place in early April); past headliners included Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Tom Patty and Willie Nelson. The music begins at noon every three days and continues on eight stages until about 10 p.m. Tickets sell out quickly. Look for one-day tickets, 3-day tickets and VIP passes that include halls, restrooms, special two-stage viewing areas and more. Please note that there is no campsite in Golden Gate Park, so parking and shuttle passes are also on sale.
