PPL has been awarded a high level of recognition by the EPA The state

Allentown, Pennsylvania – PPL Electric Utilities has added another ENERGY STAR 2022 Partner of the Year award to its awards portfolio after receiving the award last year through a partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy.
To be considered for the award, ENERGY STAR partners must work at the highest level on energy management, demonstrate best practices, prove energy savings throughout the organization, and actively participate in and communicate the benefits of energy efficiency and the ENERGY STAR program.
In 2021, PPL Electric’s residential energy efficiency programs saved customers more than 23,500 megawatt-hours, equivalent to the energy used by more than 2,098 homes.
“We are proud to partner with ENERGY STAR and accept this honor for the second year in a row,” said PPL Electric Utilities Vice President of Customer Service Lisa Norden. “It is an honor to be recognized for our commitment to helping customers save energy. Thanks to this partnership, we have been able to help our customers make smarter energy choices every day, and these choices also benefit the environment. ”
ENERGY STAR Award winners lead their industries in the production, sale and implementation of energy efficient products, homes, buildings, services and strategies. These efforts are needed to combat the climate crisis and protect public health.
“We know we will all work together to address the climate crisis, and our ENERGY STAR 2022 partners are demonstrating what it takes to build a more sustainable future,” said EPA Administrator Michael S. Reagan. “These companies show once again that taking action to support a clean energy economy can be beneficial not only to the environment but also to businesses and customers.”
Winners are selected from thousands of ENERGY STAR partners. For a complete list of 2022 winners and more information on the ENERGY STAR Rewards Program, visit energystar.gov/awardwinners.
