President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19 again Entertainment news

Joe Biden again tested positive for the coronavirus.

The US president ended self-isolation on Wednesday (27/07/22) after his initial diagnosis, but has now confirmed he will return to self-isolation after contracting the virus again – although he says he has no symptoms and plans to continue working.

Biden, 79, said: “People, I tested positive for COVID again today. This happens to a small number of people.

“I don’t have any symptoms, but I’m going to isolate myself for the safety of everyone around me.

“I’m still at work and will be back on the road soon.”

White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor said the president returned four consecutive negative tests before testing positive on Saturday (30/07/22).

The doctor said Biden’s infection was a mild and rare form of “rebound” COVID-19.

Biden addressed the nation after emerging from self-isolation earlier this week and said he was “feeling great” after being sick with a combination of vaccines and the antiviral drug Paxlovid.

He said: “I went through it without fear. Very mild discomfort from these life-saving essentials.

“And I want to remind everyone: they are free. They are convenient, safe, and work.”

Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, said the politician’s symptoms were “almost completely gone” earlier this week.

The doctor wrote in a statement: “President Biden completed his fourth full day of PAXLOVID last night. Now his symptoms are almost completely gone. When questioned, he reports only residual nasal congestion and minimal hoarseness at this time.

“His pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and temperature remain perfectly normal. His oxygen saturation continues to be excellent on room air. His lungs remain clear.”
