Rita Ora feels ‘really humbled’ as she celebrates 10 years of ORA | Music

Rita Ora feels “really humbled” by being “so supported” by her fans and the music industry to “be herself”.

The “Anywhere” hitmaker reflected on the ten-year anniversary of her debut studio album “ORA” and admitted how lucky she is to be able to do what she loves every day.

The ’50 Shades Freed’ star also admitted it was still surreal for her to have performed at the Vatican in Rome and for former US President Barack Obama at a Christmas concert as she looked back on the past 10 years.

Speaking to The Official Charts Company to mark the milestone, she said: “I honestly never imagined what the next 10 years would bring. I could never imagine performing at the Vatican for Mother Teresa’s canonization, for Barack Obama, or even for the Oscars.

“It’s great to be able to do what I love every day and feel supported by my fans and the creative community to be myself.”

And she wouldn’t change a thing about recording her chart-topping album.

She said: “I wouldn’t give my younger self any advice because I wouldn’t want things to be different. I think everything is exactly as it should be!”

The 31-year-old star, who recently married New Zealand director Taika Waititi, is proud that she worked with producers and writers from the UK and around the world to create a record that “felt right for me”.

She said: “My fondest memory was having so many talented people in the same space working with me.

“I was able to bring together British producers and writers from all over the world to create what I felt was the right thing to do. It was a very exciting and special experience to record it with people I got to know so well during the process. ; they became like a family. They were a huge part of making the album and it wouldn’t have been the same without them.”

The album was produced by will.i.am, The-Dream, The Runners, The Monarch, Stargate, Chase and Status, Greg Kurstin, Jules De Martino and Diplo.

Rita rose to prominence in 2012 when she performed on DJ Fresh’s drum and bass chart-topper Hot Right Now.

She released her second album “Phoenix” in 2018 and a third album is on the way.
