Rosamund Pike will star in Emerald Fennel’s new film.
The 43-year-old actress was chosen to lead the cast of the second Oscar-winning feature film after the success of her debut film The Promising Young Woman.
Several details are known about the new project, but insiders told Deadline that it would be called “Saltburn” and would tell the story of an aristocratic English family.
Fennel is familiar with the world after the role of Camilla Parker Bowles in the Netflix series “Crown”.
Filming for the project is set to begin later this year.
The director won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for Young Promising Woman, and was nominated for Best Director and Best Picture.
Meanwhile, Rosamund also got the lead role in the film “Rich Flu”.
The upcoming film, directed by Spanish director Halder Hostel-Urutia, tells the story of how a deadly disease begins to kill rich people.
In the film, a mysterious disease kills some of the richest and most influential people on the planet, starting with billionaires, then multimillionaires and so on.
As it threatens to strike anyone who has wealth, the world panics when the human race tries to flood the market with assets that are no longer needed.
Hostel-Urutia said: “Rich flu” is a huge physical saga, full of twists and turns, obstacles and surprises. But above all, it is a complex and provocative emotional journey to the depths of the human soul and the heights of the glorious ‘I’. – indulgence.
