Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans after he missed his second straight practice on Thursday.

Mostert is listed on the Dolphins’ injury report as having a knee issue. Although he hasn’t missed a game with the Dolphins in 2022, Mostert missed two practices in one week for the first time all season on Thursday.

After a torn meniscus in his knee cost him the 2021 season with the San Francisco 49ers the first time around, Mostert has been on and off the team’s injury report. He was shut out completely in Miami’s last two games before the bye week, wins against the Cleveland Browns and Chicago Bears.

Mostert, through 10 games and eight starts in 2022, is averaging 4.6 yards per carry with 543 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Mostert has an injury. Before the knee injury in 2021, which he rehabbed and was cautious about during the offseason and training camp, a sprained MCL and two separate ankle sprains cost him a total of eight games in 2020. That followed his breakout 2019 campaign, when he amassed a career-high 772 rushing yards and an epic four-touchdown performance in the 49ers’ NFC Championship Game win over the Green Bay Packers to reach the Super Bowl.

An earlier sprained MCL in his knee cost him a season in 2017, and a broken forearm in 2018 ended that season.

The other two Dolphins who did not participate in Thursday’s drills were tight end Terran Armstead and punter Thomas Morstead. Armstead has not practiced for two days in a row as he has been on maintenance following a toe injury suffered in week one. He trained on Wednesday. Morstead missed his second straight training session due to illness.

Outside linebacker Melvin Ingram returned from Veterans Day off Wednesday. Cornerback Keyon Crossen (shoulder) and linebacker Raekwon Davis (knee) were promoted to full participation after being limited on Wednesday.

Linebacker Jerome Baker (hip), defensive end Teddy Bridgewater (knee) and tight end Tanner Conner (knee/back) were limited for the second straight practice Thursday.
