St. Nicholas Greek Cuisine Festival Returns from Souvlaki, Spinach and Others – Morning Bell

The Bethlehem Greek Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas will host a spring food festival from May 19 to 22, featuring all sorts of delicious and delicious Greek dishes.

The event showcases many Greek favorites, including a la carte dishes such as spinach, chicken or pork souvlaki, dolmade (stuffed grape leaves) and tirapit (phyllo-puff filled with a mixture of Greek cheese and herbs).

Highlights: Athenian chicken (boneless and skinless chicken stuffed with spinach, feta, cream sauce and greens, baked and drizzled with light sauce), moussaka (slices of sliced ​​beef in Greek, finely chopped potatoes and eggplant, eggplant covered with rich and pasticcio (regular layers of penne pasta and chopped beef in Greek, seasoned with bechamel sauce).

And don’t forget desserts: baklava, nut rolls, kulurakiya (Greek cookies), kataifi (crushed fila dough with nuts in honey syrup) and more.
