Stephen Tyler goes into rehab after relapse Celebrities

Stephen Tyler has been admitted to rehab after a recurrence of painkillers.
The 74-year-old singer turned to pills after foot surgery and has now entered a treatment program, meaning Aerosmith has been forced to cancel his first set of dates in Las Vegas in June and July.
A statement from the band said: “As many of you know, our beloved brother Stephen has been working on his sobriety for many years.
“After foot surgery to prepare for the stage and need to treat pain during the process, he recently fell ill and volunteered for a treatment program to focus on his health and recovery.
“We are very sorry to inform our fans and friends that we must cancel our first set of residences in Las Vegas in June and July while he focuses on his well-being.”
Stephen has struggled with drug and alcohol addiction for many years, and he has previously admitted that his life has spiraled out of control amid his health struggles.
Hitmaker “Walk This Way” – who has children Liv, 44, Mia, 43, Chelsea, 33 and Taj, 31 – explained: “I’m addicted, so I found some drugs that I liked, and did not stop at the point of causing hurt my kids, hurt my life, hurt my family, hurt my band.
“There was a time when I didn’t have a band and I didn’t care.”
Stephen also compared his drug addiction to Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland”.
The music star, who is the lead singer of the rock band leading the charts, said: “I went the worst way. I went to the rabbit hole. I chased after Alice. “
