‘Stranger Things’ star Joseph Quinn, Metallica play backstage at Lollapalooze – NBC10 Philadelphia

The Stranger Things star has teamed up with Metallica at Lollapalooza for “the most metal reunion ever.”
The band paid tribute to Eddie Munson, Joseph Quinn’s character from the hit Netflix show, during their performance at the festival on Thursday.
Metallica played their 1986 song “Master of Puppets” during the set, while they used Quinn’s solo performance from the show’s fourth season.
In the series, Quinn’s character shreds the song in “Upside Down” to save his friends from this season’s villain.
Quinn met with the heavy metal group backstage ahead of the show, according to behind-the-scenes footage posted on Metallica’s Instagram.
After the new season of Stranger Things premiered on the streaming platform, Metallica took to social media to thank the show’s creators, the Duffer Brothers, for creating a “major” scene around their music.
“We were all excited to see the end result, and when we saw it, we were totally blown away… It’s very well done,” Metallica said in Instagram post in July.
Another star from the Netflix show is set to appear at the Chicago festival. Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington, is performing as Joe and is set to take the stage at Lollapalooza on Sunday, the final day of the festival.
