NEW CASTLE, Pennsylvania (KDKA) – Police are trying to find out how stun guns were brought to New Castle High School.

Police said they received a report that a schoolboy on Thursday had a weapon such as a stun gun.

Officers and school officials searched the building and found a plastic stun gun, police said. Weapons were confiscated.

Police said they are now investigating the circumstances of how the stun gun was brought into the school.

They did not say whether charges would be filed, but said anyone violating a zero-tolerance gun policy on school grounds would be prosecuted.
